As I am writing this, it is spring of 2023. I have lived in the DMV my entire life, and I’ve never seen these beautiful trees until this year. Each time I drove down 95, I would just get so mesmorized by the purple flowers poking through the green trees I see everyday. I wonder what’s so different about this year that they decided to bloom. I’m not even sure if they’re rare, or if this is the first time I decided to look around and appreciate the beauty of Maryland. Either way, I coulding let this spring past without painting these beauties.
